Jay-Z Is No Longer The King Of New York?

The King Of New York, Jay-Z has officially left the state!

Jay-Z confirmed in a lawsuit with photographer Jonathan Mannion, that he is an official resident of California and has no plans to move.

“I intend to keep my primary residence in Los Angeles, California, and do not intend to move my primary residence to another state. I pay California state taxes. In light of these facts, I consider myself to be domiciled in Los Angeles, California,” Jay-Z confirmed.

Mannion, shot the cover for Jay’s Reasonable Doubt, is being sued by Jay for using his name, image, and likeness without permission.

Despite moving to the West Coast, he still maintains a home in New York, as he and Beyoncé dropped 26-million-dollars on mansion in East Hampton.

The question stands now though, if the King Of New York is not a reesident of New Yor, then who holds the title?

JAY-Z recently was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

The ceremony is set to take place on October 30th, with a broadcast available on HBO Max. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame revealed its inductees, marking the most diverse group by musical genre in the organization's history. To be eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

Tina Turner joins him and LL Cool J will receive a musical excellence award.

Jay-Z is one of the world's best-selling music artists, with 50 million albums and 75 million singles sold worldwide, 23 Grammy Awards, and the record for the most number-one albums by a solo artist on the Billboard 200, with 14. He has been ranked by Billboard and Rolling Stone as one of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and became the first rapper to be honored into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
