Kanye West Says He's 'Concerned For The World' After Abortion Comments

Kanye West is not backing down on his anti-abortion remarks that he made during his presidential campaign rally in South Carolina.

On Friday (July 31), West, 43, returned to Twitter for another round of eye-popping tweets after about two weeks since breaking down on stage while speaking about he and wife Kim Kardashian's contemplation in aborting their first child, North. "I cried at the thought of aborting my first born and everyone was so concerned about me," the rapper told his following. "I’m concerned for the world that feels you shouldn’t cry about this subject."

"There is a tactic of 4 D's: distract, discredit, dismiss and destroy. I am quite alright," he continued in a follow-up message. "Take a second to think about what is being projected here." After sharing a NY Post article, which detailed Planned Parenthood's decision to remove the name of Margaret Sanger, one of the founders of the national organization, for her "racist legacy," West went on to drop a factoid about abortion figures, revealing "22,500,000 black babies have been aborted" in the last 50 years.

As you know, Kardashian was recently spotted in Cody, Wyoming for a reunion with West after a number of public troubles. It was a move that reportedly required convincing from Justin Bieber. She returned to Los Angeles one day after her visit. The appearance arrived after the rapper's presidential rally, Twitter rants and the E! star's public statement on his bipolar disorder. Since lashing out, the former has publicly apologized for the outbursts. "I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me," the rapper tweeted. "To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me."

Despite the apology, the Kardashians/Jenners are keeping West's mental health at the top of their list of priorities. "Kim and the family are happy to see Kanye apologize, but at the end of the day the most important thing for them is Kanye getting the help he needs," an insider recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight.
