Rick Ross has revealed the title of his upcoming album shortly after dropping the first single.
The multifaceted artist stopped by 103.5 The Beat just hours after he released his new song "For The Money," produced by Pharrell Williams. During his conversation with Papa Keith, Ross explained how he came up with the title of his 12th studio album, Set In Stone.
"We kicking the door in with this new project, Set In Stone," he explained. "Y'all hearing it here first. Gotta be heard at the crib. I just feel like a thousand years from now you got to make sure this s**t set in stone man."
"It's just like our people thousands of years ago," Ross continued. "We got to leave something behind for the little hustlers a thousand years from now."
Rozay also said his next album is "close to being done." His upcoming project will serve as the follow-up to his 2021 LP Richer Than I Ever Been. Since then, the MMG boss dropped a joint album with Meek Mill, Too Good to Be True, and knocked out a slew of other notable collaborations. Although it's been two years since his last project, Ross has plenty of music in the vault. He said he plans to record even more tracks and is also working on a few features with some of his big homies.
"It's about history, and as an artist, as a boss, your legacy is more valuable than anything else," Ross added. "So me making music, I love that. That's why I still do it."
Look out for Rick Ross' next album Set In Stone coming soon.
