A deadly shooting interrupted an outdoor event shortly before Boosie Badazz was scheduled to hit the stage.

According to a report the Des Moines Register published on Sunday, August 11, two men were shot and killed outside of the I29 Speedway in Pacific Junction, IA. The shooting occurred outside of the venue at 9 p.m. on Saturday — right before the concert portion of the "The Pull Up Car Show." Boosie was expected to perform along with Rob49 and Rich The Factor, however, the show was canceled after shots were fired. The Louisiana native informed his fans about the situation in a video he posted to social media.

The victims, 28-year-old Marcus L. Johnson and 27-year-old Charles A. Williams Jr. of Omaha, NE., were reportedly approached by a vehicle as they were walking up to the concert entrance on the southwest corner of the venue. The alleged shooters opened fire from inside the car and fatally struck both men before they drove away. The event was immediately shut down after the shooting occurred.

"There were no words exchanged, no arguments, and no warning," one of the event's organizers said in a statement. "There were deputies within 20 feet of the shooting and the criminals did not care. We had ambulances on site so the response times for the victims was immediate."

Authorities are still investigating the incident. An Omaha Police helicopter was reportedly sent to search for up to three alleged suspects who drove a black Mercedes sedan. No arrests have been made.
