DJ Khaled Announces 'Father Of Asahd' Album Release Date

Let the DJ Khaled takeover commence!

On Friday (March 22), the hip-hop hitmaker announced that his long-awaited album, Father of Asahd, will drop on May 17, via We The Best Music Group/Epic Records. The announcement was made via a montage video of him enjoying the beauty of the tropics, before the date flashed across the screen at the end of the clip. Khaled has previously described his eleventh studio album as his best work to-date. Among the rumored guests on the set include Chris Brown, Big Sean, J Balvin, Meek Mill, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Bryson Tiller, 2 Chainz and Cardi B.

Earlier this month, the We The Best honcho teased the forthcoming project via a video trailer on Instagram. As per the teaser montage, which featured clips of the producer talking with executives at Epic Records, Khaled boasted about his plans to take over the industry in 2019. "The clock's on. I want to unload on them. I want to unload all of it. Boom, boom, boom. Anyone act up, I'll let it all go. I want to fu*k the game up," he said during the video. Epic President Sylvia Rhone appeared to agree with the hype, telling the hit producer, "Every single track…It's the best album you’ve ever made."

In the meantime, you can catch the super-producer serve as host for the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, which will takeover Hollywood on Saturday (March 23) and slim the very best in music, TV, movies and social media. He's also nominated for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Collaboration for "No Brainer" with Justin Bieber, Quavo and Chance the Rapper. The 2019 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards will air live on the network from the Galen Center in Los Angeles on Saturday at 8/7c / 8 PM PT.
