Two Charged In Robbery At Towers Armory

TOLEDO, Ohio - Two men are facing federal charges for a November robbery at an area gun store.

Emmanuel Riley, 27 and Servario Whitaker, 36, were each charged Tuesday with theft from a federal firearms licensee and possession of a stolen firearm.

The men are accused of breaking into Towers Armory on November 19, 2018, gaining access through the ventilation system. The pair allegedly made several trips into the store, stealing more than 40 firearms.

“There is no place in our society for those who use firearms for violent purposes, including those who steal firearms to further their criminal pursuits,” said Trevor Velinor, Special Agent in Charge of ATF’s Columbus Field Division.  “ATF will continue to work with our law enforcement partners at the federal, state, and local levels to bring those individuals to justice.”

Both men will make their first appearances in court later this week.
