The shooting that went down during Tekashi 6ix9ine's music video shoot last week has cost his record label hundreds of thousands of dollars.

According to TMZ, Universal Music Group spent nearly half a million dollars, $480,000 to be exact, on the video that was supposed to feature Nicki Minaj and Kanye West. Since production was immediately put on hold after the shooting, and there are currently no plans to reschedule or reshoot the video, it looks like UMG's cash has gone right down the drain.

As for why one single music video costs nearly $500K, a source told the site that the mansion was replicated to look just like 6ix9ine's rainbow hair. From the multicolored windows to the very-specific lighting to the lavish decorations to the renting of the mansion itself (the house is on one of the most expensive and exclusive blocks in Beverly Hills), UMG racked up quite the bill.

As previously reported, a shooting took place at a Beverly Hills home where Tekashi, Kanye and Nicki were set to film. Shots were fired while both 6ix9ine and Kanye were inside the home, however, Nicki had yet to arrive.

TMZ later confirmed that the bedroom, where a bullet came through the window, was supposed to be Nicki's dressing room. A source told the gossip site that the original plan was for 6ix9ine to be in that bedroom. However, the day before the shoot, the 22-year-old rapper changed his mind and gave Nicki the bedroom, which hints that the shooter may have thought that Tekashi was in the room rather than Nicki.
