Ballot Issue Could Affect Future Toledoans

(Toledo, OH)  Toledo voters have less than two months before they decide whether to launch a regional water commission.

Several west side residents turned out Tuesday evening for a meeting to learn more about the charter amendment, saying they weren't sure how to vote.

The proposal would form a regional board that would recommend water rates and improvement plans.

Toledo City Council would have veto power over water rate changes, an issue that has concerned several suburban stakeholders.
