Drew Brees announced this week Football In America, the non-contact youth co-ed flag football league he launched in 2017, would expand to Toledo this Fall. The goal is to present a safe, positive, competitive, and family-friendly environment to learn the game the right way. And, to have fun doing it!
Brees, best known as the Super Bowl XLIV MVP quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, is no stranger to the sport. In fact, he got his start in flag football as a kid himself, before eventually transitioning to tackle football in high school and then college, where he led the Purdue Boilermakers to the Big Ten Championship in 2000.
In Toledo, the FNA league will play games on Sunday afternoons at Bear Creek Park in Holland. The league is open to boys and girls in K-8th Grade, and is a great primary or secondary sport for youth. Kids are able to register as an individual, or as part of a team with their own friends. Participants who register before July 25th you will receive an autographed 8x10 photo of Drew.
